Holme Lodge Farm
Jewel colour palettes and accents feature throughout, reflecting the client’s style and personality. An oversize chandelier in the entrance adds drama to this double height entrance and sets the tone for the feel of the home.
Pieces were chosen to complement the period character of the house but also blending with contemporary pieces for a fresh feel.
The client came to me with renovation fatigue, they’d already spent years making this beautiful house a liveable, and comfortable family home. However the scale of the old farm house meant they were left with unused and unfinished rooms. Firstly, it was important to understand the purpose of the unused spaces, how we could utilise them and create inviting rooms. Each space was then carefully planned and zoned to suit family life, with designs and styling that fitted with their colourful vibe.

Master Bedroom
A full redesign of the Master Bedroom, means it now connects to their en suite. Soft pinks and plums, create a cosy feel and compliment the the green tones which feature throughout the house. Designing a bespoke built in wardrobe and dressing table to make the most of the space, adds in valuable storage and a dedicated getting ready space. Some existing antique family heir looms were included in the design, they add to the character and quirkiness of this home. Brass details and large linen pendant give the space a fresh and contemporary feel.
Beautiful mirror details and a wall light above, add light, ambience and interest to the tucked away dressing table.
A console table, large artwork and accessories break up the long hallway. The stair runner makes a statement on the painted stairs, adding another touch of lux and detail to the house.
Playroom
The snug and playroom were designed with intent and purpose, becoming warm, inviting places to spend time together.
The playroom is tucked out of the way so it really needed to feel inviting and a fun place to spend time in. The room is long and thin, so tricky to plan out. The all important piano takes pride of place. The soft green walls tone with the hallway, fabrics, artwork and accessories add texture and interest. A sofa, storage, zones to create and play and accessable toys, have also helped it to become a much loved play space.
Living Room
Dark accents, vintage pieces, a large sumptuous, comfy family sofa and statement art, add a sense of drama and personality to the the neutral back drop make it stand out
Cosy Snug
Adding features back into this room, like the mantle piece and a log burner give this long thin room a focal point and a much cosier feel. Smoked Trout Farrow and Ball paint adds to the ambience of the snug and creates a feeling of warmth. More jewel coloured furniture, accessories, and artwork were sourced to complete the room, giving it a playful but still grown up feel for evening.
